Disability Activist To Be Featured On US Quarter

 

Coming August 12: Stacey Park Milbern, a disability justice activist, will be featured on a new U.S. quarter as part of the American Women Quarters Program.

 

Milbern, who had muscular dystrophy and passed away in 2020, was a powerful advocate for disability rights and inclusion. The coin honors her legacy with the words “disability justice” and a design symbolizing allyship and advocacy.
